How You Can Help - Wakulla County Senior Citzens Center

How You Can Help

Fund Raising: The Wakulla County Senior Center receives regular contributions from individuals, churches and businesses for senior services.

Christmas in July: Every July a $50 / plate luncheon with turkey, dressing and all the trimmings with decorations is held in the Senior Center. A silent auction of local art and gift baskets adds to the success of this event.

Golf Tournament: Every spring a golf outing is held with wonderful prizes, a great lunch and a few good shots.

Financial Operations: The Wakulla County Senior Center receives annual grants from the State and Federal Government. These grants are supplemented by the Wakulla County Commission, United Way, Before/After School Program and fund-raising activities.

Project Life Saver: The Wakulla County Senior Center coordinate with the Sheriffs Department to fund Project Life Saver. Donations are accepted to sponsor any citizens that could potentially become disoriented and wander. $360.00 will provide a life saving bracelet for a year.
